Keith

I considered doing this using directory integration: either cascaded or using directory assistance but it wouldn't achieve my specific objective; which was to move the users to LFS. The issue is in support for email addresses and extra email domains.

We have multiple email domains and users tend to have multiple email address (for historical reasons). LFS receives all email using postfix and will only accept email for users who are configured correctly. (actually not strictly true as you can tell LFS not to check recipient, but this increases the amount of SPAM). So, users have to be registered in LFS with their aliases and the extra domains set up as virtual domains. This causes Person documents to be created in the Domino Directory wich will be duplicates of any in secondary directories.
